The Face Behind Make Life Eventful
Hi, my name is Savannah, and I am the owner, CEO, head of marketing, lead planner, basically the everything of Make Life Eventful. I graduated from FGCU in December of 2019 and am a certified wedding planner through the Certified Wedding Planner Society. I started Make Life Eventful in January of 2020 with basically no experience other than my certification course. I run the business with my amazing husband who helps me with all of the financial and legal things of running a business. He also proofreads my posts and all of the documents I send to my clients. My mom is also my amazing wedding day assistant. I will introduce her to you in another blog. You'll love her.
I am married to the most amazing, hilarious, and smart man, Austin. We got married in May 2020 (yes, during COVID). We had a small intimate wedding with our family and bridal party but got to have a big celebration with more of our friends and family in November 2020. We have two sweet dogs, Bear who is about 6 and is a Black Lab mix (we think he’s part great dane), and Zeus who is about 3 and is a red pit bull. They are both about 85 pounds and are the sweetest, most loving, playful puppies.

We lived in Tampa for about a year and a half during the pandemic but are back in Fort Myers. We just moved into our house in October of 2022 after Hurricane Ian pushed our closing date back. We both were baristas for over 8 years combined so we love coffee and try new coffee shops as often as we can, but also have a whole coffee bar with an espresso machine in our house. We also love to try new restaurants but enjoy cooking and baking at home. We just got into golfing and try to go as much as we can (usually during the summer since the prices are much cheaper than in the winter).

I have always loved being outdoors. I grew up loving to fish, work on cars, go camping, go to the gun range, watch cars race or drift, and just enjoying nature. Living in Florida has definitely helped with my love for nature and animals. Most people are so surprised when I tell them I drive a truck but those who know me could never see me driving anything else (except when I have to drive my husband’s car because gas in my truck can get expensive).
Even though I didn’t go to many weddings before I became a wedding planner, I have always loved the idea of weddings, a celebration of two people in love, becoming one. Once I became a wedding planner, I fell in love with weddings and being able to help people. There is nothing sweeter than knowing I was able to make my couple’s wedding day dreams come true and help alleviate any stress that a wedding can bring. I love being able to sit back and see how happy the guests, the family, and especially the couple are. I love seeing how the couple is surrounded by family and friends that not only love them but will support their marriage in the future. I love helping my couple and the photographer during portraits, seeing how in love they are and watching their love be portrayed through pictures. There is nothing better than being able to be a small part of the most important day of a couple’s life.
